one of them is doing quite well but lamented he has to wait many years for his boss to retire before he can get promoted. the other one was full of compassion and encouraged me to stay positive.
i am surprised that it has been almost 20 years but the two of them still retained their personality.
i really wonder how the latter maintained energy and compassion to always try to cheer people up. i have always read that networking is even more important when you are retrenched, you may land some unexpected opportunities. well, i just had my first encounter: i received sincere encouragement. that will keep me positive and energized to look harder for a new job.
